Excellent service, plenty of outdoor seating by the lake and ample food. Good food and drinks, great selection. One of my favorite Lakeside dining locations in Lake Country or Illinois for that matter. Did I say reasonable pricing? You’ve got to try them!

Last night was my second time at El Puerto, and I can say without a doubt, we'll BE BACK! We celebrated my boyfriend's 46th at El Puerto last night with their tasty food and amazing Mango Margaritas. I had, and highly recommend...the Chimichangas, they were delicious and cooked perfectly! The Carne Asada was had by but two people at our table and the feedback is without a doubt TOP NOTCH!!! That being said, try out the Carna Asada, you'll be glad you did. The birthday boy had the Steak Fajitas. It came out sizzling with lots to say. BDay boy ate every last bit. To say the least he enjoy his Fajitas very much! Our Mango Margaritas were a hit, we shared two pitchers between the 4 of us. The night ended with an wonderful birthday song sung by the staff, and topped with an amazing tasting Flan. Sooo good! Thank you, El Puerto for a terrific evening that really made our night. 5 Across the board.

Amazing! I was so happy to have come across this place. It was such a great experience. I went with my husband and we always go to a lot of restaurants, especially Mexican food. I was shocked at how much he loved it here. He couldn't stop saying how this was his new favorite spot....and how authentic the food was. Specifically, he kept saying how the food tasted exactly like his grandmother's cooking which he misses. We had 5-star service everyone was super friendly. The food was just really good. Definitely a hole-in-the-wall place you don't want to miss. Thanks for a great experience! They also accommodated me easily with my wheelchair.

This place cannot be beat. I have been coming back for years. Amazing view on Fox Lake. The food is outstanding ! The salsa is to die for!! The mole is perfection. The service is always terrific. Never disappointed.
